NFL, RCX, and NRPA Grant

The NFL, RCX, and NRPA Grant is available to local government agencies that are seeking to expand access to youth flag football opportunities within their communities. To be eligible, applicants must have a signed NFL FLAG agreement and be in good standing with the program. As part of the application, applicants will be asked to indicate which funding opportunity they are applying for:

• General Flag Football Fund – Supports overall program growth and youth participation in flag football.
• Girls Flag Football Fund – Specifically supports initiatives designed to increase girls' participation and access to flag football programs.

Applicants should select the funding opportunity that best aligns with their program goals and intended use of grant funds.

Application Timelines:

• Applications for Winter 2027 and Spring 2027 will be accepted from September 28, 2026 - November 28, 2026. 
• Winter 2027 and Spring 2027 Applicants will be notified by the RCX Sports Foundation on a decision by January 28, 2027.

• Applications for Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 will be accepted from February 28, 2027 - April 28, 2027. 
• Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 Applicants will be notified by the RCX Sports Foundation on a decision by June 28, 2027.

Application Acknowledgments: 

• This application is for local government agencies that manage and operate park and recreation spaces, services, programs and plans only (e.g. park and recreation agency, federally recognized tribal community operating recreational programs). Affiliated 501c(3) non-profit organizations are also welcome to apply. If the applicant is not a local government agency, the applicant is required to submit a signed letter of support for the project being proposed from the park and recreation agency director or equivalent. 
• The 2026-2027 NFL, RCX, NRPA Grant has limited funding and submitting an application does not guarantee the application will receive financial support. 
• The 2026-2027 NFL, RCX, NRPA Grant is to be distributed among multiple local government agencies.
• Funding is not guaranteed year after year. The goal of this grant is to empower leagues to build sustainable models that can operate independently after receiving initial funding.
• Incomplete applications will automatically be declined. 
• Funding cannot be requested for use in a reimbursement style.
• Applicants who are selected to receive funding must use funding within six months of receiving and will be asked to share participation numbers and program details with the NFL, RCX Sports and the NRPA.
